Pacific Advocacy Center NW (PAC NW) is a nonprofit organization (501C3 status pending) dedicated to transforming how communities respond to individuals with complex behavioral health and legal needs by integrating services traditionally delivered across separate systems into one coordinated model of care.
PAC NW was founded on the belief that no single system can solve complex human problems. Lasting change requires collaboration, innovation, accountability, and evidence-informed practice.
PAC NW seeks to become a recognized regional leader in integrated behavioral health and justice services, systems coordination, workforce development, applied research, and public policy.
Mission:
Pacific Advocacy Center NW exists to transform how communities respond to individuals with complex behavioral health and legal needs by bringing together the professionals, services, and supports traditionally delivered through separate systems into one integrated model of care.
Vision:
We envision a community where systems work together seamlessly so that no individual falls through the cracks. We strive for a future where coordinated systems and proactive care replace reactive fragmented responses, individuals have equitable access to the support they need, and communities are healthier, safer and strengthened through collaboration, accountability and innovation.
Values:
Human Dignity:
We recognize the inherent worth of every person and are committed to respecting autonomy, fostering hope, and treating every individual with compassion, fairness, and respect.
Collaboration:
Complex challenges cannot be solved by a single organization or system. We cultivate meaningful partnerships among individuals, families, behavioral health providers, healthcare organizations, housing providers, justice partners, community organizations, and policymakers to create coordinated, sustainable solutions.
Systems Stewardship:
We believe lasting change occurs when systems work together. We actively identify gaps, strengthen partnerships, and improve coordination across sectors to build more responsive and effective systems of care.
Accountability and Integrity:
We are responsible stewards of the trust placed in us. We lead with honesty, humility, and professionalism. We honor the trust placed in us by the communities we serve by embracing transparency, acting ethically and acting with humility.
Evidence-Informed Innovation:
We use research, data, and lived experience to guide decision-making while remaining willing to challenge existing practices, pilot new approaches, and advance solutions that improve outcomes.
Advocacy:
We work to improve policies, systems, and practices that affect the people and communities we serve. Our advocacy is grounded in evidence, practical experience, collaboration, and a commitment to meaningful, sustainable change.
